Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra in renders
Although attention is currently focused mainly on the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, rumours of other new Samsung products continue to surface. This time, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has been spotted in leaked renders, which also confirm some key specifications.

The new images are based on CAD files and have been compiled by OnLeaks. According to this information, the tablet’s design remains largely the same as that of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The dimensions are also said to be virtually unchanged: 326.34 x 208.46 x 5.12 mm.
It is striking that the renders still show the semi-circular notch on the front for the selfie camera. This is noteworthy, as earlier rumours had suggested a switch to a camera housed in a small round cut-out (the so-called ‘punch-hole’). Based on these latest images, it seems Samsung is sticking with the current design after all, although it remains to be seen which version will ultimately be released.

As well as the design, the new leak also confirms a significant change under the bonnet. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly set to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, as the successor to the chipset in the current model. The battery capacity, on the other hand, does not appear to be changing. According to the information, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will once again feature an 11,600 mAh battery, just like its predecessor.
There are still plenty of unanswered questions, such as the cameras, storage options and any new software features. There’s still some time for that, as the launch of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra isn’t expected until September. Until then, more details about Samsung’s new flagship model are likely to emerge.
