Renders of the Galaxy A18

Images of the new Samsung Galaxy A18 have appeared online. If the leaked images are accurate, Samsung is once again opting for a familiar design. The Galaxy A18 retains the familiar triple-camera setup on the back. However, the camera module appears to be integrated slightly more flush with the body than on its predecessor, giving it a sleeker look.

There are few changes to the front either. According to the renders, the device will once again feature a so-called Infinity-U display with relatively thick bezels, similar to the previous generation. Samsung is thus sticking to the design commonly seen in its affordable Galaxy A series.

The leak also reveals that the Galaxy A18 will measure 164.4 x 77.8 x 7.84 mm. This would make the device approximately 0.1 mm thinner than the Galaxy A17, whilst it is actually slightly thicker in another respect.

As well as the design, new details about the hardware have also emerged. Earlier reports suggest that Samsung plans to release both a 4G and a 5G version of the Galaxy A18. Notably, neither variant is expected to feature an Exynos chip. Instead, Samsung is said to be opting for a MediaTek processor in the 4G model and a Snapdragon chip in the 5G version.

It is not yet known when Samsung will unveil the new device to the world.
