Privacy Display for the Galaxy S27+?

Although the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S27 series is still a long way off, the first rumours about the new devices are already surfacing. According to recent reports, Samsung may be working on a Galaxy S27 Pro, a new model in the range that is said to feature a striking privacy function.

The information comes from the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, who reports that Samsung is currently testing the familiar Privacy Display at a hardware level for the Galaxy S27 Pro.

The Privacy Display feature previously made its debut on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This technology helps to make the screen’s content less visible to people looking in from the side. This can be useful when, for example, you’re travelling on the train, working in the office or using your phone in a busy environment. You can read about what we thought of it in our Galaxy S26 Ultra review.

Rumour has it that Samsung now plans to bring this feature to the Galaxy S27 Pro as well. And that model willbe a new addition to the S series. As well as the privacy feature, a few other details about the device have also emerged. For example, the Galaxy S27 Pro is said to feature a 6.47-inch screen and a 5000 mAh battery.

A triple-camera setup is expected on the back. This is said to be largely similar to that of the Galaxy S27 Ultra, although rumours suggest that Samsung may be using a different telephoto lens sensor for the Pro model.

It is striking that various sources are mentioning the arrival of a completely new Pro model within the Galaxy S27 series. Samsung itself has not yet confirmed anything, but this would mean that the manufacturer is further expanding its range of high-end smartphones.

For now, however, these remain mere rumours. Samsung is not expected to officially unveil the Galaxy S27 series until early 2027. Until then, more details about the devices are likely to emerge.
