Android 16 for Galaxy S22
The three Samsung Galaxy S22 series models are getting the update to Android 16. This news follows the rollout of the update for several other devices, we wrote this morning. All three Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and the S22 Ultra will get the update to the latest Android version. This along with One UI 8 and the September security update.
Doortje let us know that the update can be installed on the three devices. Thanks to Android 16 with One UI 8, you get access to new options for the lock screen, the Samsung Weather app has been updated with new animations and there are improvements for Now Brief and Now Bar. In addition, you may just notice changes in the interface, including in the camera app.
The update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is now available in Europe, including therefore the Netherlands and Belgium. You will receive a notification when you can download this update. Not received a notification yet? Then check manually via your phone's software settings.
