Android security update September 2025: 120 patches

A hefty security patch for Android has been announced. The new September security update addresses as many as 120 patches. The update will become available in the coming weeks.

September Android update

Google releases a new update for Android device users every month. Manufacturers process this update and make it suitable for the various Android devices. These are not only smartphones, but also, for example, tablets, smartwatches, televisions and other things that run on Android, even cars. With new security updates, using Android becomes another bit more secure.

September's latest security update addresses a total of as many as 120 vulnerabilities found. Usually, security patches contain fewer vulnerabilities; but so these are being picked up this month. Incidentally, this does not mean that all 120 patches are for all devices. For example, distinctions are made between the Android version, the type of updates and the technical features of a device. For example, there are also specific fixes for devices with a chipset from MediaTek or just for Qualcomm.

In the coming weeks, the necessary devices will be updated with a new update. We'd love to hear from you, along with a screenshot, if you receive an update. Let us know by sending an email to redactie@droidapp.nl.
