Galaxy Unpacked is on 22 July
Samsung has officially announced the date of its next Galaxy Unpacked event. On 22 July, the company will unveil its latest products at an event in London. The invitation bears the slogan “A New Shape Unfolds”, with which Samsung is already hinting at the new generation of foldable smartphones. Although the company has not yet named any specific devices, all the rumours point to the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8, in particular, looks set to undergo a striking change. According to earlier rumours, the device will feature a wider screen, making it less elongated than its predecessors. This would improve the user experience, for example when watching videos or multitasking on the large foldable display.
As well as the new foldables, Samsung also appears to have new wearables up its sleeve. It is expected that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Galaxy Watch 9 and possibly also the Galaxy Able will be announced at the same event. The latter is a new set of earbuds with an open-ear design, utilising bone conduction, where the earbud is attached to the outside of the ear rather than inside the ear canal. We’re familiar with this from, for example, the Huawei Freeclip and Motorola Buds Loop.
We’ll find out all the details on 22 July.
