Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2
Lenovo has announced the Tab Plus Gen 2, a new tablet designed with entertainment in mind. The new model combines a large screen, an advanced audio system and a range of smart features for those who enjoy watching films, listening to music or streaming content whilst on the move.
One of the most striking features is the upgraded sound system. Whilst the first generation had eight speakers, the Tab Plus Gen 2 features nine JBL Pro speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. In addition, the tablet can also function as a standalone Bluetooth speaker.

For display, there is a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2.5K resolution. The display supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 and achieves a maximum brightness of 800 nits. According to Lenovo, this ensures that content remains clearly visible even outdoors. The tablet comes with a 360-degree stand, allowing you to use the device in various positions, both landscape and portrait. When you’re not actively using the tablet, it automatically switches to a digital photo frame mode. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Lenovo has also added several AI features to the software. For example, AI Live Transcript offers real-time translations in over forty languages. There are also features such as Smarter Reader and AI Notes, which allow you to read texts and take notes. For battery life, Lenovo relies on a 10,200 mAh battery. According to the company, this is sufficient for up to fifteen hours of YouTube streaming. Charging is via 45W fast charging, provided you have a compatible charger. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset. The tablet will receive two Android updates and four years of security updates. The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 can be enhanced with accessories such as the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, a wireless keyboard and a 68W USB-C charger. You’ll need to purchase these accessories separately, however.
The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 will be available soon at a recommended retail price of 399 euros. An exact release date has not been announced.
