Hands-on with the Nothing Phone (4b)
Nothing itself recently dropped a small hint by sharing an image of a Snapdragon processor on X. Although the company did not specify which chip it was, the leaked details suggest that the Phone (4b) will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4.

The leaked photos of the settings menu also confirm that the device runs on Android 16 with Nothing OS 4.1. The entry-level model is expected to feature 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A version with 256 GB of storage also appears to be in the pipeline.

More is now known about the cameras as well. The Phone (4b) is said to feature a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. One of the most striking features is the battery. According to the leaked information, the smartphone will have a 6000 mAh battery. That is almost 1000 mAh more than the previously released Phone (4a).
A 6.7-inch AMOLED screen is also expected. This suggests that the Phone (4b) is clearly targeting the mid-range market. However, the (4b) will be positioned a step lower, as evidenced by the presence of the aforementioned chipset. For instance, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is less powerful than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 found in the Phone (4a).

Finally, the leaks reveal three different colours: a black version, a white variant and a third colour. This means Nothing remains true to its recognisable design style. The Nothing Phone (4b) will be officially unveiled on 7 July. It will then become clear how much the smartphone will cost and whether all the leaked specifications are actually accurate.
