Redmi Note 17 series leaked
The global Redmi Note 17 series looks set to be unveiled very soon. Even before Xiaomi has officially announced the devices, both images and virtually all the specifications have been leaked. The new range is said to consist of the Redmi Note 17, Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, with the enormous batteries being a particular highlight.
Redmi Note 17
According to the leaked information, the entry-level model will feature a 6.99-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1800 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i. The smartphone will be available in 4G and 5G versions. The 4G version runs on a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor, whilst the 5G variant is equipped with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.
The device also features a 50-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 7,700 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. In addition, the device is expected to have IP65 certification and run on Android 16 with HyperOS 3.
Redmi Note 17 Pro
The Redmi Note 17 Pro takes things up a notch with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display offering a higher resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of no less than 3,500 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Under the bonnet, it is said to feature a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. On the rear are a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, a 16-megapixel camera has once again been chosen.
The battery capacity has also been increased. According to the leak, the Pro will have a capacity of 8,340 mAh and support 67W fast charging. In addition, the device is said to feature comprehensive dust and water resistance certifications, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max
At the top of the range is the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. This model largely retains the same display and rear cameras as the Pro, but features a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor and will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the battery. According to the leaked specifications, the Pro Max will have a capacity of no less than 9,210 mAh, combined with 100W fast charging.
Xiaomi has not yet officially announced the Redmi Note 17 series, but given the extensive amount of leaked information, a global launch seems to be just around the corner.
