Xiaomi 17T turns up in benchmark and comes sooner: this is what to expect

If you are curious about Xiaomi's next smartphone, something new has surfaced. Indeed, the suspected Xiaomi 17T has appeared on benchmark platform Geekbench, giving a first look at its performance and specifications.

'Xiaomi 17T coming in May'

According to information that has now surfaced, the Xiaomi 17T is coming to market earlier. A benchmark reveals the first information. Thus, the device will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chip. Combined with 12GB of RAM and Android 16, the Xiaomi 17T seems to be well prepared.

Battery-wise, expectations are also interesting. Rumours point to a capacity of around 6500 mAh, which is higher than many competitors. This combined with 67W fast charging.

Xiaomi 15T

On the camera front, Xiaomi seems to be taking it easy. The setup is expected to remain largely the same as the previous generation, the Xiaomi 15T. That need not be a drawback, but you probably don't have to expect major innovations there.

What stands out most is the possible release date. The Xiaomi 17T would be announced as early as next month, which is earlier than usual for this series. Normally, these devices only appear later in the year. The 15T series was announced in September.
