Updates for Android devices
Various Android devices are being updated to a new software version. First up is the Motorola Razr Fold. The €2,000 device is (finally) receiving its first update. We recently put the smartphone through its paces in our Motorola Razr Fold review. Motorola promises a number of stability improvements, along with the May security update. The previous patch was released in March.
Xiaomi is also rolling out an update for the Xiaomi 17T and the Xiaomi 17T Pro. The changelog mentions various improvements, stability optimisations for the camera and bug fixes for the Wi-Fi connection. Xiaomi is keeping the devices on the May security patch.

OnePlus
Then there’s OnePlus. Although the news surrounding the manufacturer is all over the place – regarding its withdrawal from Europe – updates are continuing as normal, as if nothing were happening. That’s good news. The OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus 15R are both being updated to software version OxygenOS 16.0.8.300. We’ve included the changelog for this update below.
Down to the smallest detail.
- You can now connect your device to two sets of Bluetooth earphones at the same time, each with its own adjustable volume, making it easy to share audio with someone else.
- The Weather app now displays moonrise, moonset and moon phases on the home screen, so you’re always up to date with the current lunar cycle.
- In Outdoor Mode, you can now switch quickly between apps by pinning your favourite apps to the status bar at the bottom, so you can open them more quickly.
- Game Capture now offers screenshots in 2K resolution for extra detail. You can find this feature under “Game Assistant – Tools – Game Capture – 2K Hyper Resolution screenshot”.
- An ‘App Suggestions’ section has now been added to the app drawer’s category view, which intelligently highlights your most frequently used apps for quicker access.
Security and privacy
- You can now disable ‘Accessibility’ permissions with a single tap. If apps installed from unofficial sources attempt to perform high-risk actions, a pop-up warning will appear, allowing you to quickly revoke the relevant permission.
- Incorporates the June 2026 Android security patch to improve system security.
