Android 17 for Samsung
Samsung is busy behind the scenes working on the update to Android 17. That's not all, as the brand is meanwhile also working on One UI 9. This new skin is expected to make its debut this summer. It is now becoming clear which devices from Samsung's Galaxy line will get the update to Android 17. It's not an officially released list yet, but since Samsung is pretty clear in its update plans, we can share the list below with you.
Android 17 is reportedly one of the bigger updates of the past year. Among other things, nearly 4,000 emojis have been redesigned, there is a new video editor to quickly create short videos for Reels, for example, and you get even more customisation options for colours and Android's appearance. More new features will also make their debut. The update to Android 17 will be combined with One UI 9, which in turn will also feature improvements.

These devices will not get the update
Several devices will also not get the update. For them, the update to Android 16 with One UI 8.5 was the last major update. That applies to the following models.

When Samsung will start distributing the update is not yet known. Presumably, One UI 9 will be announced along with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 series. These foldables are expected in the summer.
