July security update, according to Samsung
Samsung will shortly begin rolling out the July security update for its various devices. The update will include not only Google’s own patches, but also those from Samsung. Every month, Samsung publishes information detailing which patches it has added itself. With the July update, the South Korean manufacturer has added a total of sixteen patches.

Although not all details are shared for security reasons, we do learn a number of interesting details. Samsung is addressing vulnerabilities in its own apps and services. This is reflected in the release notes shared by the company. Among other things, vulnerabilities have been found in various technical components, as well as in Knox, SmartThings and the Wi-Fi connection. A vulnerability in the clipboard and the ‘wallpaper service’ has also been addressed.
As mentioned, Samsung will soon begin rolling out the update for the various devices. If you receive the update, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us an email with a screenshot to redactie@droidapp.nl.
