Camera update for Galaxy S26 series
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be updated with a major update, we hear from Sander. It's not a new security patch being distributed to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, but an update for the camera. This will include a major improvement.

The three smartphones will all get this update, which has an update size of over 750MB. As mentioned, the security patch remains on the April update. The changelog talks about improving the overall stability of features. The camera app is being updated to version 16.5.01.29.

Specifically, an improvement will be made in taking photos. In fact, before the update, it could happen that you saw something different in the camera app screen, than how the final end result became. That has been addressed with this update, so you also see 'through the viewfinder', what you capture. So the crop no longer differs.
You will be offered the update as of now. If you have not yet received the notification, you can manually check for updates. You can do this via the software settings of your Galaxy S26 device.
