Motorola is working behind the scenes on the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The brand's new smartphone focuses on a design that is slightly different from other devices. This is according to information shared by Evan Blass.
While most devices mainly use glass or plastic, this phone experiments with unusual materials. Think textile-like finishes in blue and turquoise, as well as variants with a marble or wood look. For those who like colour, there would be a red version.

There also seems to be progress on the camera front. Among other things, the square camera module houses a telephoto lens with a focal length of 81 mm, good for about 3.5x optical zoom. You also get a 12 mm ultra-wide-angle lens for wide shots. With this, Motorola seems to be taking a serious step towards the top of the camera segment, although details about the sensors are not yet known.
Under the bonnet, the Pro+ variant aims for better performance than the standard model, which runs on a Dimensity 8500 chip. That fits the premium positioning of the device. On the front, you'll find a 144Hz AMOLED display that continues down the side, ensuring smooth images during scrolling and gaming.

Another point of interest is software support. While some brands now promise up to seven years of updates, Motorola is said to stick to three major Android updates. That is relatively limited and could affect how long you can use the device safely and up-to-date.
