Google AI Plus subscription
Whereas Google AI Plus previously cost €7.99 per month with 200GB of storage, you now pay just €4.99 per month. At the same time, the included storage has been increased to 400GB, up from the previous 200GB.
That extra storage isn’t just for AI features. You can also use the space for familiar Google services such as Gmail, Drive and Photos. This makes the subscription much more versatile for everyday use.
According to Google, this new setup effectively replaces the older Google One subscriptions. Users therefore not only gain access to AI features, but also significantly more storage space for their files, emails and photos.
In addition to the price reduction, AI Plus includes various features that utilise Gemini, Google’s AI platform. For example, you can use Gemini within Gmail to manage your inbox more intelligently. Features such as Daily Brief are also available, which summarise information clearly.
Google also mentions Gemini Omni as part of the subscription. This feature focuses on generating videos using artificial intelligence.
The price cut comes at a time when competition in the field of AI is intensifying. By reducing costs whilst offering more storage space, Google is attempting to make its AI services more accessible to a wider audience.
