Maybe your car already supports wired Android Auto, but you prefer to use it wirelessly. Wired is not always preferable. After all, in the long run it is not the best for your phone's battery. To solve this problem, AAWireless already had a small box, but recently a new version of this was released. Namely the AAWireless Two and this box is even smaller! The gadget enables Android Auto in any car.
Since I would also like to use Android Auto wirelessly, I ordered the new gadget as well. Another nice thing to know, AAWireless is a Dutch brand. Of course, you also have wireless adapters for sale on well-known Chinese webshops, but you might still like a European product that connects to your phone. Your phone can just stay in your pocket!
The corresponding app
The AAWireless Two is easy to pair with your phone for the first use.
You do this through the AAWireless app. Here it explains step by step what you need to do, making pairing easy. Also, you use the app to get updates, change settings, which phones are paired and there is a troubleshooter.
A handy button
What's handy is that the AAWireless Two has a button. This allows you to easily switch between the phone it needs to connect to. You can also turn on standby mode via the button, which is handy when the power doesn't go off the usb port when you turn off and lock the car. Around the button is an LED ring that allows you to see if your phone is connected or if there is a problem, for example. Other than that, the adapter does what it is supposed to do. It's just a matter of getting into the car and when you start the car, in no time you will see the Android Auto button on your infotainment screen.
My own experience with the AAWireless Two is very positive. As mentioned earlier, it does what it is supposed to do and is quick to pair. In particular, it makes sure to use the Android Auto functionality a lot. Before I had the adapter, I used it wired only when necessary. Later in 2025, the AAWireless Two+ will come out, it will have the added functionality of also working with Apple CarPlay. This Two only works with Android Auto. If that is enough for you, then the AAWireless Two is definitely an interesting gadget!
The AAWireless Two will cost you 59.99 euros and can be bought from the manufacturer itself. It is advisable before ordering to do the compatibility check to see if your car is suitable for the module.
