Xiaomi 17 series in Barcelona
Barcelona is once again hosting the Mobile World Congress in the first days of March. It is a tradition for various brands to show off their new smartphones prior to Congress. That will happen this year too, according to new reports. Xiaomi reportedly plans to present its new Xiaomi 17 series in the Spanish city on 28 February. Two models would be involved, while three devices were previously announced for the Chinese market.
In Barcelona, we will only see the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 Pro is not scheduled, nor is the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, even though that is the most special device. This is because that model has a screen not only on the front, but also on the back near the camera module. That device would reportedly not get a European launch. The Xiaomi 15 Pro, which was previously presented for China, also did not have a European announcement.
Source Deallabs reports that Xiaomi plans to release the 17 for 999 euros (12GB/256GB), while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will retail for 1499 euros (16GB/512GB). The regular model will be released in black, 'Venture Green', 'Ice Blue' and 'Alpine Pink'. For the Ultra model, we can expect three colours: white, black and 'Starlit Green'.
