Vivo X300 Ultra at Mobile World Congress
There is a lot to see at the MWC. This year, there was a lot of focus on the foldable smartphone, but the camera on mobile phones also gets a lot of attention. And we can see this at Vivo's stand, among others. Vivo is not a well-known manufacturer in the Netherlands, but in several European countries and certainly in China, Vivo is very big. DroidApp paid a visit to the brand's booth.

At Vivo's booth, the company proudly told us that it is working on products for its own ecosystem. Something we see in other brands as well. Thus, not only smartphones are appearing, but you can also buy a smartwatch and earbuds from the brand. This way, you stay completely within the manufacturer's network. The brand already has several smartphones, with the Vivo X300 Ultra being announced for the Chinese market at the end of March. Speaking to DroidApp, Vivo reveals that a European launch is planned in the second quarter of 2026. As to when the brand will come to the Netherlands or Belgium, no comment could be made. It stresses that the company wants to do everything step-by-step, but that the brand eventually wants to be widely visible in European.

And with the Vivo X300 Ultra, the smartphone manufacturer has an incredibly interesting device. Although the real details will not be announced until the end of this month, the company is betting full on the camera. As with other devices, it is collaborating with Zeiss, a brand Nokia also used to partner with. The Vivo X300 Ultra should be the tool of choice for videography and video production. The smartphone supports 4K recording at 120fps, in 10-bit Log and Dolby Vision. There is also 3-degree optical image stabilisation for stable footage. Present is a multifocal 4K Master Colour Video tool, which ensures the best display in terms of colour reproduction and enhancing colour tones.Manually, saturation, contrast and the like can further be adjusted. At Vivo's booth in Barcelona, a whole setup had been set up to record a movie with the smartphone. A demo looked impressive.

To get even more out of photography, Vivo displayed various accessories at the booth. These include a professional camera grip, like the one we see on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. There will also be a camera cage, a cooling fan and an attachment lens that allows you to zoom 400 millimetres. So with these, you can bring the subject closer without sacrificing quality. We won't hear all other details until a later date.
