Samsung on the June 2026 security update: 11 proprietary patches

Following Google’s lead, Samsung has shared further details about the June security update. The South Korean manufacturer is adding a number of its own patches on top of Google’s, making your Galaxy device even more secure.

Samsung on the June update

The June security update will reach various Android devices in the coming weeks. Google announced the rollout of the update last week, although at the time of writing it is not yet available for Pixel devices either. This will change in the coming days and weeks, and Samsung devices will also receive the update, including, of course, the Galaxy S26 devices and many other series.

In addition to the vulnerabilities being addressed by Google, Samsung has announced that the necessary patches will also be included. In total, Samsung is releasing eleven patches. Although none of the patches have been classified as ‘critical’, they do bring improvements to security and safety in various areas. For example, work has been done on the security of the interface and apps, including the Phone app. Vulnerabilities have also been found in the photo and video editor that uses AI.

As far as we know, no Samsung device has yet been updated with the June security update. If you receive this update, or any other update, please do let us know. We would be delighted to receive your email at redactie@droidapp.nl, along with a screenshot. We will then include your report in our coverage. We are very grateful!
