Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide seen on screen
If recent reports are true, Samsung has big plans for the brand's new foldables. New Galaxy Z models are expected this summer. The latest report is about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, a foldable with a wider screen than we are used to from a foldable. In terms of specifications, there will be many similarities with the also upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide will feature a 5.4-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch internal screen. The device will measure 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.9 millimetres when unfolded, while when folded it will be 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 millimetres. Interestingly, the thickness at the level of the camera module comes out to 14.6 millimetres, and this means the camera module is on the thick side. Especially since only a dual-camera will be found inside the device. The Wide model will be shorter but wider and get one less camera than the Fold 8, it is expected.

Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide will get a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which we already know from the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, for example. The smartphone manufacturer further ships the device with a 5000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. If you want to go for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, you will have to dig deep. The smartphone would be launched with a price tag of around $2000.
