The Samsung Galaxy A27 is on its way
Samsung has not yet officially announced the Galaxy A27, but the device has already appeared on the Samsung Czech Republic website. This has confirmed many of the new mid-range model’s specifications ahead of schedule.
The Galaxy A27 will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display features a punch-hole for the selfie camera.
Under the bonnet, Samsung has opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. This marks a departure from the Exynos chips used in previous models in the series. The smartphone will be available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy A27 features a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). It also includes a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Interestingly, the ultra-wide-angle camera has a lower resolution than that of the Galaxy A26. The selfie camera has also been downgraded from 13 to 12 megapixels.
Another notable change is the water resistance. Whilst the Galaxy A26 had IP67 certification, the new Galaxy A27 has to make do with IP64. This means protection against dust and splashes, but less comprehensive protection against water than its predecessor.
The battery capacity remains the same as the previous model at 5000 mAh. Charging is also again at a maximum of 25 watts. The Galaxy A27 comes with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung also promises six Android version updates and six years of security updates, which is very good for this price range.
In terms of colours, you can choose from black, blue, light green and pink. Official prices have not yet been announced, but according to earlier rumours, the version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to cost around 349 euros. A price of around €439 is being quoted for the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, this price may be lower, as you can already buy the Galaxy A57 for that price.
