Revolut Mobile
You may already be familiar with Revolut through the bank itself; the online bank has grown enormously in recent years. What’s more, you can easily make payments abroad using your Revolut account without having to pay constant commission fees. It’s handy that you can also order a physical debit card. Revolut is expanding its operations in our country with Revolut Mobile. These are 5G mobile plans that you can manage directly from the app. You can choose from two plans that can be cancelled monthly, using KPN’s network in the Netherlands.
The entry-level plan offers 20GB of mobile data for €9.99 per month. This data bundle is valid in the Netherlands and within the European Economic Area (EEA). Once the limit is reached, the data connection stops. Unlimited calls and texts are included.
Those who need more data can opt for the Unlimited subscription. This costs €23.99 per month and offers unlimited mobile data in the Netherlands. Within the EEA, you receive a roaming bundle of 40GB. Customers who sign up for a subscription before 14 September benefit from an introductory rate of €19.99 per month.
The prices stand out, particularly as comparable plans from KPN itself are considerably more expensive. Although there are providers that also offer cheap data, this is often tied to a 1- or 2-year contract. With Revolut Mobile, you can cancel after just one month. Revolut works in partnership with 1Global for this, which in turn uses KPN’s Dutch network.
In addition to the standard plans, Revolut adds a few extra features. For example, users get access to a special data pass that provides a low-bandwidth internet connection in over 140 countries. This connection is intended for chat apps and can be useful when travelling.
In addition, customers can link two extra phone numbers to their subscription. These numbers can be used for calls and texts, for example to keep work and private life separate or to share the main number less often. A subscription to NordVPN is also included with the mobile service.
