OnePlus DetailMax Engine
Just now, OnePlus has announced that it is launching a new project. It is the OnePlus DetailMax Engine, and this is the new internal image processing engine that comes into play when taking photos with a smartphone. It has been designed from the ground up to take the clearest and most realistic photos with a smartphone, the manufacturer reveals.
According to OnePlus, the power lies in several optimisations and innovations. Increased processing power and advanced algorithms allow more data to be captured. This should result in images with what it says is "unparalleled depth and realism".
In the announcement, OnePlus thanks its partnership with Hasselblad that it had in recent years. It is unknown how that will now take shape, but as OnePlus says it is closing the chapter, we assume that future models will no longer have Hasselblad branding. This was also something that has become clear in the rumour circuit in recent times.
With OnePlus DetailMax Engine, the manufacturer wants to deliver images that are clear and real. Photos that you zoom in afterwards should impress users, the brand promises. The next flagship will feature the new way of image processing. Whether the results then really are all that great, and whether the device wins out over the rock-solid camera in the Pixel 10 Pro XL, for example, we will see then.
