OnePlus 13, 13R and Nothing Phone (3) get major update

Update for OnePlus 13

We start with the update for the OnePlus 13. The high-end smartphone is still awaiting the Android 16 update, but when it will be rolled out is not known. The manufacturer is giving the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R the update to OxygenOS 15.0.0.860. Interestingly, the update shows the old changelog with the changes from the previous update.

We do have the changelog of the update rolling out now for you. We note those down for you below. The update also brings the September security update with it.

Unlock a new level of seamless experience

• Improves the animations when tapping Live Alerts or notifications while the screen is locked.

Delight in details

• Adds a map album that allows you to view all images with locations on a map.
• After you set photos in the Private album as public, they will now reappear in their original locations, making them easier to find.
• You can now change your privacy password on each secondary page of Private Safe, as well as in the Locked album of Photos.
• You can now view your daily and weekly screen time in App management under Phone Manager.
• Improves the layout of the remote control panel buttons in IR Remote.

Network connections

• You can now send text, image, and voice messages to nearby people via BeaconLink when there is no internet connection. You can find this feature in "Settings - Mobile network - BeaconLink".

System

• Integrates the September 2025 Android security patch to enhance system security.

Nothing Phone (3)

With the Nothing Phone (3), we also see a major update. This one has version Nothing OS V3.5-250911-2112. According to the brand, there are several improvements in the camera, battery optimisation and bug fixes. Interesting, as we already wrote in our Nothing Phone (3) review that the camera, for instance, could use some improvements. We put the changelog of the update for you below.

• An issue that was causing unwanted tones in certain scenes has been fixed. Colours are now more natural and balanced.

• Improved video recording: videos now have better contrast, look less blurry and more vivid.

• Fixed the problem with duplicate contact avatars when adding a new line in Essential notifications.

• Improved title alignment in About the phone for Arabic.
• The user interface for Bluetooth recording has been upgraded. You can find it via: Settings > Sound and vibration > Bluetooth recording.
• Optimised battery consumption under certain scenarios.
• In certain scenarios, heating has been reduced for a better experience.
• Improved Wi-Fi connectivity and network stability.
• Improved system stability and optimised performance.
• Optimised Glyph Matrix display of Always-on Glyph Toys in multi-user mode.
