Nothing Phone (4b)

Nothing has confirmed when its next smartphone will be unveiled. The new Nothing Phone (4b) will be released on 7 July and will be available both in India and on the global market. This also puts an end to earlier speculation about the device’s name.

Alongside the launch date, Nothing has shared a new design sketch, which gives a better idea of what the smartphone will look like.

The design

Previous teasers gave the impression that the Phone (4b) might feature just a single rear camera. However, the latest image suggests otherwise. The sketch shows a vertical, pill-shaped camera module positioned within a rectangular camera island.

The module appears large enough to house multiple camera sensors, although Nothing has not yet revealed any details on this. Next to the camera module, a separate pill-shaped cut-out is also visible. According to the available information, this may house the LED flash and an autofocus sensor.

A horizontal strip is also visible on the camera island. This is reminiscent of the lighting element previously featured on the Nothing Phone (4a). However, it is not yet clear whether this is actually a light strip or simply a design feature.

Although the official unveiling has now been confirmed, Nothing is still keeping many specifications under wraps. No details have yet been revealed regarding the hardware, cameras, performance or battery capacity.

For now, we’ll have to make do with the confirmed name, the launch date and the initial design details. On 7 July, it will become clear where the Phone (4b) will fit within Nothing’s smartphone range.
