Motorola Edge 70 Max
Today we’re taking a look at the new Motorola Edge 70 Max. The Edge 70 Max runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, which, according to Motorola, delivers faster performance, better AI capabilities and smooth multitasking. The device features up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. To maintain performance even during intensive use, a new cooling system featuring a large vapour chamber and liquid metal has been implemented.
On the front, you’ll find a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. According to Motorola, this is the brightest display in its category, with a peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits. In addition, the screen supports 10-bit colour reproduction and is Pantone-calibrated for true-to-life colour reproduction.
One of the most striking features is the 7,100 mAh battery, which, according to Motorola, allows for extended gaming, streaming and video calls. Charging is via 90W, whilst 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging is also supported.
For photography, the Edge 70 Max is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony main camera featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS) and AI image processing. It also features an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with macro function and a 32 MP selfie camera, with 4K video recording also possible using the front camera. AI features such as the Photo Enhancement Engine and Signature Style automatically help to optimise photos.
Motorola is also making strides in the area of durability. The Edge 70 Max has an aluminium frame, a matt glass back and meets MIL-STD-810H standards for durability. In addition, the device features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and IP68/IP69 certification for protection against dust and water.
The smartphone is available in three Pantone colours: Aqua Grey, Dark Shadow and Ice Melt. Motorola emphasises that the brand supplies the device in fully recyclable, plastic-free packaging and uses recycled metals and plastics.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is available from today in the Netherlands and Belgium with a recommended retail price of 799 euros for the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
