Instagram changes policy hashtags again: now a maximum of 5 hashtags

Can you only use a limited number of hashtags with your post on Instagram? You may well have fallen prey to a new test by Instagram. Where previously a cap was pulled with the maximum number of hashtags that can be used, this has now been changed again...

Maximum of 5 hashtags on Instagram

Instagram was initially meant to share your photos, and is incredibly popular in other areas as well. It not only allows you to share your photos, but you can also spend endless time watching videos and Reels. Discovering new places for your next holiday, for example, is also among the possibilities. You yourself can also draw attention to these posts, and for that, hashtags are a very useful tool.

Instagram 5 hashtags

In December, DroidApp managed to report that changes had been made to Instagram. A group of users could use a maximum of 3 hashtags. That was considerably less than before, when you could feel free to add 30. However, in recent times, more changes have been made by the photo service and they seem to be testing a different limit. A maximum number of five hashtags will apply to these users. If you want to enter more, you will get a notification.

It is not known what Instagram bases the maximum number of hashtags you can add on. Not every account seems to have to deal with it. It is quite possible that other changes will be made around the use of hashtags in the near future. Instagram itself did not respond to the reports.
