Honor Magic V6
Honor's new foldable has been announced in Barcelona: the Honor Magic V6. The brand has had foldables in its portfolio for years, and the V6 marks a new step. Motorola showed off the Motorola Razr Fold today, Google has the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Samsung, of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Each with its own features and qualities.

What is clear is that Honor is not releasing just any foldable smartphone with this model, but is going for pure design. This combined with high-end specifications and IP68 and IP69 certification for water and dust. At Mobile World Congress, the manufacturer shows that the device can be held under water with ease. Internally, it houses next-generation silicon-carbon battery technology. Inside the Honor Magic V6 is a 6600 mAh battery with 80W charging, and the brand is also already showing off the next generation. This is the Blade Battery and it brings at least 7000 mAh to foldables.

The white, gold and black colour look nice, but the most special is the red colour. In fact, this version has a suede finish, which not only looks very sleek but also feels very nice. The cover screen of the Magic V6 offers a 6.52-inch screen, while internally a 7.95-inch screen is placed. What is striking about the screen is that Honor has gone to great lengths to keep the crease from showing, and we can see this in practice. The crease is noticeable, but you see it even less than on other foldable smartphones.

On board the Honor Magic V6 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. An advanced vapour chamber ensures that under the heaviest tasks, the device keeps its head cool. There is a 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
A price has not been shared yet, but secretly we hope we will officially see this smartphone back in the Netherlands.
