Google Pixel 11 series: major leak reveals new details

In a few months, the announcement of the new Google Pixel 11 series is expected. The four different smartphones will each get their own improvements. But what exactly are those changes? A new leak sheds more light on this.

Pixel 11 series: this is now known

Thanks to a new leak, we get to know key details about the Google Pixel 11 series. Earlier, we saw several images passing by. There was also talk of Pixel Glow, a feature that ensures the return of the notification LED. This appears to replace the temperature sensor on the Pro models. That means Pixel Glow will be placed in the camera bar.

At the centre of the leak is the new Tensor G6 chip. This processor would run on an updated configuration with new ARM cores, a different GPU and a modified security chip. Interestingly, Google may be switching to a modem from MediaTek, marking a break from previous generations. In practice, this should mainly provide more stable performance and energy efficiency, although it remains to be seen how big the difference will really be.

Pixel 11 Pro render Pixel Glow

Changes also seem to be coming on the camera front. The standard Pixel 11 is likely to get a new main sensor, while the Pro models will get different sensors for both the main and tele camera. This is notable, as Google usually sticks to the same hardware for quite a long time. At the same time, many basic features remain recognisable: screen sizes, refresh rates and battery capacities are largely in line with previous generations.

There is speculation that Google is providing the Pixel 11 models with less working memory. This may be due to the shortages and high prices that exist in this market right now. If the reports are true, the Pixel 11 models will mainly get one evolution of the existing concept, but is not a revolution. We expect the new range around August, then we will also know what is left of this information.
