Gmail app gets revamped Material 3 Expressive widget

Google has released a new update for Gmail. It is not a major update, but what is different: is the widget. In fact, it is being further refined, which should make it more pleasant to use.

Improved widget in Gmail

Gmail has received a new widget. Users of the mail app will see a new widget, which still features Material 3 Expressive. We are increasingly seeing this design in Google's apps. The earlier widget had also been given this interface, but could apparently be refined further. The widget now contains less white space and the button for composing an e-mail has been made slightly smaller. At the bottom of the widget, you can access the message box and Google Meet.

Above you can see the new interface on the right, on the left the previous version of the widget. The new version of the widget also shows the Gmail logo in the top corner.
