In 2016, Motorola came out with an affordable phone. The brand's goal was to release a good, low-cost Android smartphone, with a clean Android interface, as we largely still see from Motorola. With the Moto E series, the manufacturer targeted an affordable phone in the lower segment. So the Moto E3 was one of those. The device was also known as Moto E (3rd generation). `er was a plastic body, and a back that you could take off to replace the 2800 mAh battery. Motorola provided this Moto E3 with a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It also featured a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

On the back, we saw the familiar Batwing logo. This along with an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus. There was a MediaTek quad-core processor with 1GB of working memory and 8GB of storage. Fortunately, Motorola offered space for a memory card, so you could just store your favourite music and photos. The smartphone appeared on the market with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and offered WiFi, 4G support and you could choose from black and white colours.

The Moto E3 hit the market for just 129 euros.
