Security update May 2026
Every month, Google distributes a new security update. This is often rolled out first for its own Pixel models, and other manufacturers can also roll it out. This month, that is also the case, and security update May 2026 is being rolled out to Android. At the time of writing, it's not there yet for Pixel devices, but this presumably won't take long.
For some time now, Google has not given exact details about the content of the update. What is certain is that Google has again addressed several vulnerabilities with a new patch. This means that after installing the update, your phone, tablet or other Android device is again a bit safer to use.
For the Pixel 6 and newer, the update is available for download as of now.
