February security update available
Every month, Google releases a new security update for its operating system. That was the case last month, and this month too there are several improvements ready for Android's security. Specifically, one patch is named in the bulletin. A critical leak described as serious addresses a vulnerability in the 'VPU driver'.

Google usually also adds additional improvements to these updates for Pixel devices. That is not the case this month. However, a massive emergency update for Pixel devices did appear at the end of January.
A major update to Android 16, is expected in March. For Google Pixel devices, the update is being rolled out immediately as of now. It is a fairly minor update. For instance, the update for the Pixel 10 Pro XL has a size of around 8MB.
The new February update is available from now on for the Pixel 10, Pixel 9 and Pixel 8 series. This along with the Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7a. It may take some time until all Pixel devices are finally offered the update.
