Xiaomi grows on all fronts: from smartphones to electric cars

Xiaomi has shared its figures for the year 2025. The brand sees growth on all fronts. For instance, the brand not only scores with smartphones, but also with its own electric cars’s. And these cars’re also coming to Europe.

Smartphones remain a key pillar. In 2025, the company delivered 165.2 million devices, good for a global top 3 position, now five years in a row. At the same time, the brand sees a clear shift towards more expensive models. Handsets starting at CNY 3,000 (around €375) account for 27.1% of sales. The brand also continues to grow geographically. In Latin America and Southeast Asia, Xiaomi is now in second place, while in Europe and Africa it holds the third position.

But Xiaomi has long been more than just smartphones. The AIoT ecosystem, which includes smart devices and internet services, now counts 1.079 billion connected devices. In addition, the platform has more than 750 million monthly active users. This segment continues to grow solidly and is a major contributor to revenue.

Other product groups are also doing well. Tablets are among the top five worldwide and wearables are even number one. Wireless earbuds also remain popular. At the same time, sales of major home appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines are growing, with sales up over 23%.

Electric cars

Perhaps the biggest eye-catcher is Xiaomi's advance in electric cars. The EV division achieved annual sales of more than RMB100 billion for the first time and also turned a full-year profit for the first time. A total of 411,082 vehicles were delivered in 2025.

Within China, the models are doing remarkably well. The SU7 series was the best-selling sedan in its price range, while the YU7 series was the most popular SUVs in the mid-to-large segment for seven months. For 2026, Xiaomi is setting the bar even higher, with a delivery target of 550,000 vehicles.

At the same time, the company is investing firmly in the future. For instance, at least RMB 60 billion has been set aside for AI development over the next three years. That investment should further strengthen the 'Human × Car × Home' ecosystem, in which all Xiaomi's products work together.

Xiaomi is also making strides in manufacturing. Autonomous robots are now being used in the EV factory, which is another step towards large-scale smart manufacturing.

In 2025, the Xiaomi 15T Pro managed to win the award for best smartphone of 2025.
