If the rumours are true, the still unannounced Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro will receive a major upgrade in terms of the selfie camera. It is still over a month before the device will be unveiled.
Selfie camera revamped
A new rumour from China suggests that the upcoming Xiaomi 16 will get a nice upgrade on the front. A selfie camera with 50-megapixel resolution, 4K recording at 60 frames per second, auto focus and a wide field of view. That would be a big step up from previous Xiaomi devices.
The rear camera on the Xiaomi 16 is expected to be 50 megapixel, 1/1.3-inch type sensor. The 16 Pro would further be able to shoot Ultra HDR pictures and feature a ToF sensor. The rumour mill got off to an early start for this new device, for instance, it is said to get an even bigger battery and be launched as one of the first devices with a Snapdragon Elite 2 chip.
