Spotify lets you import playlists from other music apps via app

Music service Spotify is making good progress with new features becoming available. The Swedish company is now coming out with an option that lets you import playlists from other music services into Spotify. This without any complicated workarounds.

Spotify: import playlists

If you switch from another music service to Spotify, you can now import playlists from that platform into your Spotify account. The feature has been officially announced and will become widely available to all users in the near future, the company says. To operate the feature, Spotify uses TuneMyMusic, which is now integrated into the music app. Although the service originally can both import and export, for now it is not possible to export your music from Spotify to another service.

Thanks to TuneMyMusic's integration, switching to another music service has become a lot easier. No need to transfer your music through various detours; it can be done directly through the Spotify app. Previously, this could only be done by saving an export, and importing it via the web version. The feature will automatically become available in the Spotify app. Spotify also recently introduced new listening statistics.
