Samsung on February update
The February security update has been made available by Google. Time for manufacturers to get on board with it. Samsung is going to do just that. The South Korean manufacturer is sharing details of the proprietary patches it is adding. Google has not shared which patches are fixed this month, so as not to play into the hands of malicious ones. Samsung is disclosing a little more; there are 12 of its own patches this month.

Samsung only shares superficial details, for the same reason as Google. Thus, you don't get all the content, because Samsung wants to roll out the patches first. However, we do see improvements in Knox, the calling app (Samsung dialer) and the device's settings. In addition, the update tackles several other technical issues so that your device is back up to date.
In the coming weeks, the February update will be applied to a number of Samsung devices. If you get the update, we would love to hear from you. Send us an email with a screenshot and we will include it in the coverage. The email may be sent to redactie@droidapp.nl.
