January update for Galaxy S24 and more
After several Galaxy A-series and Galaxy S25-series devices were previously updated with a new patch, it is now time for the next batch of devices. The January 2026 security update needs a slightly longer run-up in terms of distribution, but is now ready for a total of seven more devices from the South Korean manufacturer. While it was already available for most S25 models, it is now also available for the Galaxy S25 FE.
We are told by Wim that his Galaxy S24 has also been allowed to receive the latest security patch. This also applies to the other models in this range; the Galaxy S24+ and the S24 Ultra. Furthermore, Samsung is now rolling out the update in Europe for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The update brings the patches from Google, to which Samsung itself has also added its own patches.
The update is being distributed as of now for the seven models. A notification will appear on your device when you can download it. Not received a notification of this yet? Then you can manually check for updates in the system settings.
