Galaxy S26 Ultra in hands-on
A leaked hands-on photo series and video show the direction Samsung is going with the design of the new Galaxy S26 series. The phone manufacturer will reportedly announce the new smartphone series in February. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will also make its debut then. Thanks to OnLeaks , we now get a first impression of the new design. These are presumably dummy models that we get to see in the images.

The overall design seems to take on the shapes familiar from the current Galaxy S25 Ultra. This includes the more rounded corners, which were actually much more angular in previous generations. The camera module has been redesigned though, and is more reminiscent of that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Inside the raised island are the three lenses; presumably a main camera, wide-angle lens and a (periscope) telephoto lens.

We will also start seeing this revamped camera bump on other models in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. The thicker bump is presumably necessary because the device itself is likely to be a bit thinner. To still get good cameras inside the device, this part needs to be thicker. In the video, you can clearly see how substantial the camera bump protrudes at the back.
If the rumours are true, Samsung will present the new smartphone series in February 2026.
