Galaxy S26 Ultra in Apple colour
With the 'Cosmic Orange' colour of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple has added a stylishly distinct colour to its range. Interestingly, the brand lacks white and black, with those two models only available in silver, blue and thus the orange colour. Samsung seems increasingly impressed by what choices Apple is making. We saw this earlier in the screenshots of One UI 8.5, featuring the Liquid Glass interface. Now there is another clue.

According to new information from the usually well-informed leaker IceUniverse, Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S26 Ultra in at least three colours. Besides a silver and a somewhat gold colour, Samsung is choosing to offer the device in a distinct orange colour; the same colour that Apple offers with its flagships. It is a new colour in the portfolio, where the Galaxy S25 Ultra had only appeared in a mint-green and pink-gold colour in addition to some standard colours. However, the S25 did still come in coral red. Samsung did release the Galaxy S24 Ultra in a 'Titanium Orange' colour, but this one was clearly more subtle. According to insider Max Jambor, "orange would be the new black". With that, it is unclear whether Samsung would want to release the new S26 Ultra in black.
It is still unknown when Samsung will announce the new Galaxy S26 models. Presumably it will be early next year, and probably in January, as in previous years.
