Galaxy S25 series gets January update
Samsung already released the January security update for some models last week, and now it is also the turn of high-end models. Dimitri tells us that the Galaxy S25 series will get the January security update. To be precise, it involves four models that will be updated by the brand. This applies to the Samsung Galaxy S25, the S25+, S25 Ultra and also the Galaxy S25 Edge. At a later stage, the Galaxy S25 FE will also be updated, although it is in a different batch.

January's security patch makes several improvements to Android's security. This is combined with Samsung' s own patches. It is a hefty update of around 567MB in size and does not seem to bring any further changes. Manufacturers usually also implement optimisations, as well as bug fixes. We suspect Samsung has also done so with this update.
As mentioned, the update is available for download as of now for the Galaxy S25 series. You will receive a notification when the update is available to you. If you haven't received the notification yet, you can manually check if the update is ready, via settings.
