Fewer updates for Galaxy S22 series
Samsung will distribute fewer updates for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The change to this is visible in the software updates overview. That list also revealed this week that the Galaxy S21 series will no longer receive updates. In doing so, the Galaxy S21 FE has been moved from monthly updates to quarterly updates. This means that a new update will be available for the S21 FE once every three months.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series, consisting of the Galaxy S22, S22+ and the S22 Ultra, will also get updates less frequently. These three smartphones were also on the list of monthly updates, but this frequency has been scaled back. From now on, you can expect a new update for the S22 once every three months.
