Samsung rolls out Android 16 with One UI 8 for Galaxy A36

Samsung is rolling out the major update to Android 16 for the Samsung Galaxy A36. In doing so, the mid-end smartphone also gets the new One UI 8 skin and a new security patch. The update is available in Europe.

We previously reviewed the Samsung Galaxy A36 in detail in the Samsung Galaxy A36 review. The fine smartphone is now next in line to get the update to the latest Android version. Users can download the update to Android 16 for their device. After installing the update, you get access to Android 16, the One UI 8 skin and September's new security update. Among others, we hear from Maarten that the update is available.

Thanks to the update, you will be offered several new features and improvements. These include updated features for Now Bar and Now Brief, improvements for Quick Share and thus quick sharing, and there is also the updated weather app. Samsung also offers several interface tweaks and new templates for the Routines section.

You will get a notification on your Samsung Galaxy A36 when you are ready to install the update.
