Samsung ramps up production
Samsung recently announced the Galaxy S26 series. And these devices are not taking off. At least, this is according to reports from Korea's ZDNet. According to the source, production has to be stepped up to meet demand. Although this is not true for every device. In March, 2.4 million units of the Galaxy S26 series were produced, the source said, based on sources at Samsung suppliers. This would include 1.3 million Galaxy S26 Ultra units. The Galaxy S26 would involve 800,000 units, while the Galaxy S26+ remains stuck at 300,000.

The South Korean manufacturer would now like to expand production of the Ultra model to 1.5 million units this month, and the S26 to 1.3 million. Production of the Galaxy S26+ is to be scaled back to 200,000. Component orders were reportedly increased earlier. However, another source does report that production of A-series models has been scaled back. Here, the Galaxy A57 would suffer with 1.6 million units (-200,000), as would the Galaxy A17 with 3.9 million units (-500,000).
Earlier, news emerged that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra would be unstoppable. This device reportedly accounts for 60-70 per cent of the total S26 series. Last weekend, we published our comprehensive Galaxy S26 Ultra review.
