Face ID on your Pixel?
Apple has a strong security feature with Face ID. Face ID is the facial unlock on the iPhone and also works extremely well in the dark. It is something that Pixel phones (and other Android models) actually struggle with. Google is now said to be working on a hardware-based solution that should work with absolute precision and speed, regardless of lighting conditions. Dre functionality should not be directly visible, with the system disappearing behind the punch-hole in the screen.

Face ID on the iPhone 15 Pro Max
Initial testing at Google has reportedly already taken place, and the performance is said to be similar to that of the iPhone. If true, the technology works with an infrared camera directly under the OLED screen. The new Tensor G6 chipset should also prove its power in this. The image processor is optimised for the system and the concept is also said to have already been tested with so-called UX testers on both prototype Pixel models and Chromebooks. Face recognition worked instantly, even in backlight or complete darkness. Until now, the regular selfie camera has been used for face recognition.
The new Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are said to get this technology as early as summer. The new smartphone series is reportedly coming in August this year. The Pixel 10 series was also presented in August.
