New foldable from Oppo
There are several manufacturers betting heavily on foldable smartphones. Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (and Flip 7) last summer, and Google came out with the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. OnePlus previously just announced that it would stop using this form factor for the time being, but sister company Oppo is happily continuing with it. The brand will announce the Oppo Find N6 next month in China. The new device can be seen in press photos released online.

In recently released teasers, the virtually foldable screen is highlighted. More and more brands are betting on this with a foldable. The seamless hinge is said to feature titanium alloy, while so-called 'self-healing memory glass' should ensure no wrinkles on the screen. Photos show a reddish device. Along with it, the device can be seen in white and purple. The design resembles that of last year's Oppo Find N5, with a large signature camera module. For the camera, it is still collaborating with Hasselblad; a collaboration that OnePlus also had before, but no longer has.

According to rumours, the Oppo Find N6 will appear with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This along with a hefty 6000mAh battery and a 200-megapixel main camera on the back. Remarkable, given that devices with this form factor tend to have a smaller battery. We suspect Oppo is using a silicon battery that has a higher energy density. It remains to be seen whether the device will come to Europe. Predecessors did not come our way.
