OnePlus Nord 6: first specs known

The first specifications of OnePlus' new mid-end smartphone have hit the news. The manufacturer itself is already sharing a picture of the new OnePlus Nord 6 on its socials. The new device should be announced next month, first for India. The device is expected to appear in Europe later as well, although nothing is known about this yet. Of the week, news came out that OnePlus might leave many parts of the world.

OnePlus will equip the Nord 6 with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This processor should deliver high-quality performance. In addition, the 6.78-inch OLED display is said to be able to handle a refresh rate of 165Hz and a dual-camera is chosen, with the camera module appearing to show three lenses. The smartphone will have a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. Most interesting is the device's massive battery capacity. For the OnePlus Nord 6, the brand has come up with a 9000 mAh battery. Good to know: this is the battery capacity for India. It remains to be seen whether this will also apply to Europe. Due to regulations and legislation from the European Union, lower battery capacities are usually chosen.

The announcement for India is scheduled for 7 April. As mentioned, when the device will then come to the European continent is not known. Its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 5, scored high marks with us in the review. Our conclusion of that device was:

With the OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus shows once again that you don't have to dig deep into the pocket for a good smartphone. The smartphone has a very good battery life, a very fine camera and a nice design with a fine screen. Pity about that camera, though, is the very mediocre wide-angle lens. It is nice that the Plus Key can be personalised, because Mind Space still doesn't get you very far in the Netherlands. Besides, in this day and age, the lack of eSIM support is quite a miss. Can you live with this? Then it's good to know that for around 450 euros you get a great smartphone.
