OnePlus 15: colour and display
OnePlus is working on the fourteenth generation of its high-end smartphones. However, the successor to the OnePlus 13 will not be named OnePlus 14, but OnePlus 15. The number four brings bad luck in Asian countries, is the thinking behind this and so a number is being skipped. The phone has been in the news before, now we find out new information. The information is about the screen and colours.
Reportedly, the new smartphone will get a 165Hz refresh rate. The news is confirmed by Li Jie, president of OnePlus China. The current model offers a 120Hz refresh rate. You will see the higher refresh rate especially when gaming, and it can also make just a bit of difference in fast-paced images like in videos or movies. Incidentally, 165Hz has already been used in several other smartphones, Motorola, for example, has released some devices with this refresh rate.

About the colour, we also find out a bit more. According to Digital Chat Station, a leaker that shares information more often, the OnePlus 15 will come out in three colours. They would be 'Absolute Black', 'Mist Purple' and 'Original Sand Dune'. Here, the first model is a black colour, followed by a purple and a sand one. The latter model would get a titanium frame; though it is possible that this is a limited edition. That model will weigh 211g, while the black and purple colour weigh 215g. Interestingly, a white colour seems to be omitted. Earlier, it was announced that OnePlus is quitting Hasselblad and opting for its own camera system.
It is not yet known when OnePlus will officially announce the smartphone, but rumours speak of an announcement next month for home country China. The global version is not expected to arrive until the beginning of the new year.
