Instagram app for TV
Instagram's parent company Meta has taken the first step to bring televisions into the platform. You can now use the social network on televisions, thanks to the Instagram app. First, the app has been made compatible with Amazon Fire TV, although more televisions will be supported later in the future. In the United States, the service will be available first.

The application offers access to Reels, or the short videos you know from TikTok and YouTube Shorts. The application offers instant access to multiple accounts and you can view the videos in different categories. For instance, it is possible to watch Reels in the Travel, Sports, or other categories.

Instagram only shows videos that have a so-called PG-13 rating. This means they are videos that are suitable for everyone to watch. Meta informs that total screen time counts in the app, if teens use the service on TV. Meta also reports that the functionality will be further expanded in the future. For instance, it should become possible to use the phone as a remote control, via the Instagram app.
Recently, Instagram came up with an interesting change. DroidApp exclusively reported that you can only use 3 hashtags from now on.
